Seeking Out the Right Methods to Quit

Cigarettes are a completely filthy habit that too many people have taken up. People pick up cigarettes when they are young and impressionable or feelnig stressed out and they quickly find that they have become addicted to the product. These are really disgusting products chocked full of all kinds of chemicals that are just terrible for the consumer. This includes a number of carcinogens—cancer causing chemicals. The more carcinogens you inhale into your body over the course of a lifetime, the more likely you are to contract some form of cancer. For many people, buying and smoking cigarettes is an installment plan in which they are paying for the instruments of their own death. There are other chemicals involved too—like urea, which is the chemical in a person’s urine that makes it smell the way it does. Once they realize this, consumers often look for ways to get away from their bad habits sooner, rather than later. This is certainly easier said than done, though, otherwise there would be far fewer smokers. When a person is trying to quit smoking, their body goes through withdrawals, which prevents the process from being easy or fun. Often they will become highly irritable or even angry.

You Do Need Help

Recognizing that you need help to quit smoking is a wise choice. The vast majority of people have chemical and behavioral addictions that make it virtually impossible to quit smoking tobacco cigarettes all on their own. This is where the electronic cigarettes come in—but the question remains: do electronic cigarettes work? The answer lay in the product’s popularity—would so many people be buying and using electronic cigarettes if they were unhelpful? Perhaps. However, studies have repeatedly shown that electronic cigarettes are one of the most useful smoking cessation aids for those looking to drop this bad habit.

They Work

Electronic cigarettes do work, but they have to be used correctly. This means you do not continue to smoke the same amount of tobacco cigarettes while also using the electronic cigarettes, which only increases your nicotine intake. Electronic cigarettes provide options to those consumers who do not find gum, patches, lozenges, or pills to be very useful. Electronic cigarette users are able to slowly replace the amount of tobacco cigarettes they smoke each day with the use of a nicotine-inducing electronic cigarette that will do absolutely no harm to their body in the process. This eliminates the use of carcinogens and other harmful chemicals that are found in tobacco cigarettes, but not in electronic cigarettes.

Preventing High Costs: Electronic Cigarettes

When you smoke cigarettes, you are essentially creating for yourself a long-term health problem that is going to cause issues down the line. Smoking tobacco cigarettes is certainly one of the poorest decisions for your health that could possibly be made. After all, tobacco cigarettes are basically long term destruction of the lungs, esophagus, mouth, and ever-increasing risks of various diseases and disorders. Increasing your chances of sickness, illness, or disease seems like downright irresponsible behavior and that is because it is.

Inevitable Outcomes

Tobacco cigarette smokers do not give any of these things much consideration in the beginning. However, down the stretch they often get more concerned about these issues because there are inevitable outcomes–like high costs and time lost. The high cost of tobacco cigarettes is due to the high usage levels, mainly. A single pack of cigarettes will not cost you too much, of course. But, when you are smoking two packs of cigarettes per day it can add up quite quickly. These costs can actually amount to hundreds of dollars per month and thousands of dollars per year, depending on the price per pack and the frequency of the smoker. Regardless, it basically represents the tobacco cigarette smoker investing in his own ill-health.

Hidden Costs

There are also hidden costs associated with smoking tobacco cigarettes. This includes the money that the smoker will eventually spend on various smoking cessation aids, the extra gas he or she will use going to get packs of cigarettes daily, and the considerable healthcare costs. All of these issues combine to create a very expensive bad habit.

Smoking tobacco cigarettes is often a life-long choice, unfortunately. But for some people, there comes a point where smoking cigarettes is no longer a fruitful endeavor. There have been many people who want to quit smoking but simply do not know how. This is an issue that has become more prominent over time as more and more people have discovered the cost issues that are related to smoking tobacco cigarettes.

The Solution

What is the solution to this very real problem? Well, there are many proposed solutions. These smoking cessation aids and methods are, generally speaking, pretty hit or miss. However, electronic cigarettes have proven to be pretty successful in terms of helping people to drop their bad habit. The benefit of using electronic cigarettes is that they actually allow the user to still go through the motions of “smoking”, while forgoing the tobacco and all of the harmful chemicals and carcinogens that are contained in normal cigarettes. Electronic cigarettes are definitely a desirable alternative to smoking tobacco cigarettes.

The Available Methods

When it comes to smoking tobacco cigarettes, there really is no easy way to quit. Most people who have never had to go through it will suggest to a smoker, simple–quit! Well, it isn’t at all simple. There are a myriad of factors involved when a person tries to quit smoking tobacco cigarettes. The first of many of these variables is–is it the right time? For non-smokers, the answer seems to always be “Yes! Why wait!?” Of course, this is the sentiment most smokers have at first too, but in reality there are bad times to quit smoking. During a job search, when moving; during any period of extra stress it would be a bad idea to eliminate a stress-relieving part of a smoker’s routine that is so integral to their daily comings and goings.

The Method

Another major factor is the way in which the smoker chooses to quit. Believe it or not, there are many many ways to try to quit smoking a cigarette. Just like the various forms of losing weight or learning to play piano–some methods are more effective than others. Some people prefer to try to quit “cold turkey”. This means that they want to quit smoking tobacco cigarettes by simply…not having another one. They simply choose a date to stop smoking and they stop smoking then, with no gradual decline or help of any kind. While this can be an effective method for those with a great deal of will power or those who have not been smoking for long, it is a poor substitute for a real method amongst those individuals who have a hard time quitting–which is most people.

The Other Options

So what are the available options to those people who cannot simply stop smoking cold turkey? Well, there are essentially two paths. One is to gradually reduce your smoking of tobacco cigarettes over time and eventually eliminate the habit. However, this too tends to be very ineffectual and usually leads to only the slightest decreases in tobacco cigarette smoking. This leaves using smoking cessation aids as the only really viable option for most people trying to quit smoking.

Just the Vapor

Smoking cessation aids are widespread and they do indeed work for many people. Of course, they have varying degrees of success. There are lozenges, patches, gum, and electronic cigarettes. It is this last option that has attracted the most attention from those trying to quit smoking tobacco cigarettes. Electronic cigarettes are much cheaper and much healthier than tobacco cigarettes–so the question that inevitably follows is, “do electronic cigarettes work?” And the answer is that they work better than most smoking cessation aids or other methods of quitting. Electronic cigarettes do not actually contain any tobacco or any of the other harmful carcinogens that are contained in normal cigarettes. This means that electronic cigarettes can be used anywhere, even indoors, since there is no smoke involved either–just water vapor.

Replace Lectures with E-Cigs

There are so many ways to quit smoking cigarettes, but so few are really successful. The fact is that tobacco cigarettes are just so incredibly addictive. They include all manner of chemicals that cause addictions to become essentially permanent. The permanent nature of addictions when it comes to tobacco cigarettes means that people are rarely able to escape their bad habit on their own. They often need help. While help from other individuals is certainly to be accepted and appreciated–it is hardly amble enough support for quitting such an incredibly addicting habit.

No Lectures Needed

Anyone who wants to help someone quit smoking, they should not give them a lecture. Those people who are committed to smoking will not hear anything you have to say, and those who are committed to quitting will have already heard everything you have to say. What these people need is not advice and words, but aides. Programs and products to help them to quit smoking as soon as is possible are what is needed. Many people mistakenly think that with enough will power, any cigarette smoker can simply stop. However, it really is not this simple. There are chemical addictions that the body has grown accustomed to. The body simply cannot do without these chemicals and it can be quite difficult for a smoker to quit without any sort of aides.

Smoking Cessation Aids

The best products available to help smokers to quit smoking are smoking cessation aids. These come in many forms, including patches, gums, lozenges, and other products. Probably the most celebrated smoking cessation aids lately are electronic cigarettes. Of course, the biggest question for any product like this is, how effective is it? Do electronic cigarettes work? Of course they do–that’s why so many people are turning to them for help. Electronic cigarettes have a reputation of success and a history of helping even the most committed and long-term smokers to quit their bad habit.

Not Surprising

It is hardly surprising, then, that electronic cigarettes are being manufactured by many different companies. As the market for these products expands, there will necessarily be a discussion concerning which of the electronic cigarettes products and brands are the most effective. Ok, do electronic cigarettes work is a question that has been answered, but which ones work best? This is what electronic cigarettes reviews exist for–to help consumers to figure this question out without having to spend a fortune buying each product and trying it out themselves.

Increasing the Number of Non-Smokers with Electronic Cigarettes

Anytime you see an advertisement for a smoking cessation aid, it makes one wonder how effective it really is. This is not an unreasonable assumption, since many smoking cessation aids are marketed as panaceas to the smoking issue. Often this is nothing more than a lie, usually it’s an embellishment–since most smoking cessation aids are at best only a marginal return. Lots of people have tried various smoking cessation aids, but very few ever really make a dent in the smoking populace.

What’s Missing?

This is because every single smoking cessation aid out there, it seems, appeals only to one part of the package–to the nicotine addiction. There is more to being addicted to cigarettes than just the nicotine. There is the addiction to the behavior of smoking, which can be quite powerful. People get addicted to the lifestyle of a smoker, which gives them something to do with their hands, some way to burn free time, some break in their work schedule, etc. All of these properties of the cigarette smoking lifestyle are also addictive, this is something many companies that sell smoking cessation aids fail to understand. This is a real issue and one that needs addressing sooner rather than later.

An Alternative Aid

Luckily, it seems there is now a smoking cessation aid that does address these issues. Do electronic cigarettes work? That’s up to the users to say, but it does seem to have a high rate of use and success, which means good things. Do electronic cigarettes work is a question best answered by users of electronic cigarettes–but there are certainly some studies and statistics out there to back up the notion that they are a very effective smoking cessation aid. Why are they so effective? Because electronic cigarettes not only provide a fix for the addiction to nicotine, but also for the addiction to the behaviors that go along with smoking cigarettes.

How They’re the Same

With electronic cigarettes, you still hold the device to your lips, inhale, exhale, and take work breaks. The entire routine and schedule of smoking remains the same and is only stepped down once the user is comfortable with that. Meanwhile the addiction is stymied on all sides. Do electronic cigarettes work? One needs only to watch how natural a tobacco cigarette smoker looks while using an electronic cigarette to see why it’s so successful. It allows the smoker to adjust to their new lifestyle by slowing weaning themselves off of the practice of actually going outside to smoke, taking breaks at work, having something to do with their hands, dealing with stress, etc. Of course, the additional benefit is that an electronic cigarette can actually be used anywhere.

How To Quit: Electronic Style

There is really only one question in the mind of a cigarette smoker who wants to quit–how can I? The substance is incredibly addictive, despite being awful for you. There are so many ways to legally try, these days. There are other, more effective, ways than just trying to stop cold turkey. So many people simply try to quit cold turkey, thinking this will prove to everyone that they were never really addicted in the first place. For one, this never works–people know when you’re addicted to a substance, regardless of how you stop abusing it. Secondly, this leads to an incredibly high recidivism rate. Thereafter, individuals will forever claim that they tried to quit, but that they simple could not do it.

Why Do This?

This is a lame attempt to exonerate themselves from having any responsibility for their bad habits–because they tried to quit them, but they were physically unable. The next step many people take is to try a gum, lozenge, or patch. All of these have considerably higher rates of success, though the success rate is still quite low overall. There are a host of people out there, too, who believe that the gums, lozenges, and patches are both too expensive and not effective enough. On the latter issue, results are quite disparate. On the former issue, of pricing, the solutions are quite costly.

Considering Costs

So what is one to do if you have tried these smoking cessation aids and found them to be too costly, too inefficient, or some combination thereof? Turning to electronic cigarettes is the smartest thing to do. Electronic cigarettes are not costly in the long term and they get the job done. Yes, in the short term you will at first appear to have spent more money than you did on cigarettes–since the electronic cigarettes one-time costs, like buying the electronic cigarette itself. However, in the long-term the costs are considerably lower. This is because the electronic-cigarettes’ cartridges, which are the only parts of the electronic cigarette that must be replaced.

The Efficiency Model

The efficiency of the electronic cigarettes has been in question from time to time. Everyone wants to know, do electronic cigarettes work? To answer is a most affirmative yes. Electronic cigarettes have already helped thousands of people to quit smoking, and it is a product which will continue to be successful so long as companies selling it and individuals buying it treat it with respect as a medical alternative to smoking regular tobacco cigarettes.

Yes, They Work.

Do Electronic Cigarettes Work?

Since they first appeared on the American market in 2008, electronic cigarettes have been touted by their manufacturers as a way to experience all the pleasures of smoking without bad breath, secondhand smoke or heightened risks of cancer and emphysema. Though the FDA (Food & Drug Administration) specifically prohibits manufacturers from claiming electronic cigarettes work as smoking cessation devices, a number of consumers use them for that purpose. Electronic cigarette manufacturers claim that a lungful of vapor from an e-cig cartomizer is every bit as satisfying as a drag off a cigarette. Is it really?

How Do Electronic Cigarettes Work?

E-cigarettes use lithium-ion batteries to heat a smoke solution in a small cartridge. The battery connects to a heating element. The heating element connects to an atomizer that creates vapor from the heated smoke solution. Users inhale this vapor to simulate the tobacco cigarette experience.

Smoke solutions are typically suspensions of propylene glycol, water and flavor additives. Flavor options run the gamut from traditional cigarette tastes like tobacco, menthol and glove to more fanciful flavors like chocolate, strawberry, Irish Cream and tequila. Nicotine can be added to smoke solution, but the mixture is free of the other additives that make tobacco cigarette smoking the leading cause of lung cancer. Electronic cigarettes don’t use flames, so they don’t produce stale-smelling smoke or ash.

E-Cigarettes: The Pluses

In comparison with tobacco cigarettes, e-cigarettes are inexpensive. While starter kits, which include rechargeable batteries, chargers and wall adaptors in addition to cartridges, run in excess of $100, the cartridges themselves typically cost around $2.50. Nicotine is an optional additive for e-cigarette smokers. Smokers who choose to add nicotine to their smoke solutions can select the strength they’re comfortable with.

Vapor may feel and taste like smoke when e-cigarette users inhale it, but it doesn’t linger in the air the way smoke does. That means there’s no smell on your clothes or hair, and no ashtrays to empty. People around you won’t be put at risk from secondhand smoke. No flame is involved so the danger of fire is far less.

If the FDA and WHO are hesitant about calling e-cigarettes smoking cessation aids or a healthier alternative to tobacco, other public health institutions have been more forthcoming. The American Association of Public Health Physicians thinks e-cigarettes can help save the lives of millions of smokers who would otherwise succumb to tobacco-related diseases. In 2011, the American Journal of Preventive Medicine published a study that found electronic cigarettes work better than nicotine patches or nicotine gum in helping smokers quit their tobacco habits.

Do electronic cigarettes work? The answer to that question depends upon whom you are talking to.

The Safe Smoking Cessation Aid: E-Cigs

Introduction:

Cigarettes have become a very undesirable habit in most areas. Smoking bans have taken effect in most areas of the United States of America, prices have gone up to almost $10 a pack in many metropolitan areas, and smoking cigarettes is known to cause many health problems, including cancer, emphysema, and low birth weight in pregnant women. However, quitting smoking is very difficult for most smokers, due to the addictive nature of nicotine – the pleasure-creating chemical found in tobacco. However, cigarette smokers have recently been switching over to electronic cigarettes, which can provide a nicotine fix without the harmful side effects and negative social stigma of traditional cigarettes. But some smokers may be asking themselves “do electronic cigarettes work?”

How Electronic Cigarettes Work

Many different types of electronic cigarettes are available, but all electronic cigarettes work in the same basic way. A battery is connected to an atomizer, which is a heat creating source. Liquid nicotine combined with the food additive propylene glycol is then added to the atomizer in a cartridge or tank. Once the electronic cigarette (or “e-cigarette” as they are commonly referred) is puffed, the battery provides power to the atomizer and it turned the liquid into a water vapor that resembles smoke. However, because it is a water vapor, it does not leave a odor that traditional cigarettes cause and also does not contain any tar. Also, e-cigarette liquid contains flavoring and can taste like many different things, including traditional tobacco, fruit, desserts, and many other delicious tastes.

Benefits of Electronic Cigarettes

After a smoker understands just how electronic cigarettes work, the benefits of switching over become obvious. Nicotine itself is not technically harmful and the cancer-causing materials are mostly due to the additives and smoke inherent to traditional cigarettes. Because e-cigarettes use water vapor to deliver nicotine, the harmful side effects of smoking are completely removed. Also, because there is no smoke, the ash, bad breath and smell caused by cigarettes are eliminated. E-cigarettes can be used indoors without disturbing others. The water vapor quickly disappears, unlike smoke that lingers for several minutes and produces a long-staying odor. Also, the cost of e-cigarettes and nicotine liquid is much less expensive and will save thousands of dollars a year.

Conclusion

Do electronic cigarettes work? They most certainly do! Thousands of smokers across the world have already converted to these revolutionary devices. The chemicals involved in electronic cigarettes are not harmful and a smoker can still enjoy the same nicotine feeling without risking their life and the enjoyment of those around them. Plus, at a much lower cost than real tobacco, smokers shouldn’t be asking “Do electronic cigarettes work?” but “Do I want to be healthier and save money?”

Quitting Smoking Using Vapors

Electronic cigarettes are becoming more popular every day. The sales of these special devices continue to rise as more consumers seek to save money and smoke healthier. Also known as e-cigarettes and e-cigs, these miracle products are now on the shelves at many convenience stores and gas stations.

Why People try E-Cigs

Every consumer chooses to try electronic cigarettes for a different reason. One person might opt to try them because he or she would like to smoke at work or at a favorite restaurant. Another person might experiment with e-cigs to cut down or stop smoking traditional cigarettes. A completely different person might move to e-cigarettes because he or she can no longer afford traditional cigarette. Whatever the reason is for a consumer’s first experiment, that person will most likely continue using them. The conversion rate from traditional to electronic cigarettes is approximately 31%.

How do Electronic Cigarettes Work?

An electronic cigarette device has three main components: the nicotine chamber, the atomizer chamber and the battery. The battery may also contain a smart chip. Some units also have LED lights on the front. This light simulates a lit cigarette. The light also indicates when a disposable electronic cigarette is out of e-liquid or low on battery power. When the LED lamp on an e-cigarette blinks, the unit is no longer usable.

How do Electronic Cigarettes Work Without Smoke?

The way electronic cigarettes work is by vaporization. The battery powers the atomizer. The atomizer transforms the e-liquid into a vapor that comes out when the customer puffs on the device. The vapor is virtually odor free and contains no smoke, tar or many of the other unhealthy substances in traditional cigarettes. Theoretically, e-cigarettes keep the customers healthier and spare other people from experiencing second hand smoke and undesirable scents.

Do Electronic Cigarettes Work?

Many people wonder if electronic cigarettes work. Whether these devices actually work or not depends on the consumer’s intended use. If the consumer intends to save money, then it can be said that electronic cigarettes work. One cartridge of the nicotine e-liquid is enough to last a person through a carton of cigarettes. The cartridges costs between $9.99 and $14.99, which is significantly lower than the cost of a carton of cigarettes.

More Places to Smoke

If user intends to increase the number of establishments that will allow him or her to smoke, one can also make a claim that e-cigarettes work. Some employers, restaurants and stores will allow people to have electronic cigarettes because they are harmless. There is no smoke and no chance of anyone else inhaling such.

Smoking Cessation

Perhaps the biggest question is weather electronic cigarettes work for smoking cessation. This subject is very controversial. Electronic cigarettes are not approved smoking cessation devices. However, many customers have reported decreases in the quantity of traditional cigarettes they have smoked since experimenting with electronic products. Additionally, a high percentage of smokers who tried e-cigs have completely stopped smoking traditional cigarettes. While the e-cigs are not yet approved smoking cessation devices, future approval is highly likely.

Do They Work? Of Course

Over the years researchers have been conducting studies to determine do electronic cigarettes work and if so why electronic cigarettes work. What researchers have discovered is that electronic cigarettes are in fact effective at helping people quit smoking. Researchers have confirmed that e-cigarettes are effective because smokers who smoke e-cigarettes are not actually giving up the nicotine that they are addicted to, but simply switching to a safer cigarette that does not require smokers to inhale tobacco laced with chemicals.

Researchers Have Confirmed That Electronic Cigarettes Work

In a recent study conducted by Penn State College, researchers determined that 78% of smokers who started using e-cigarettes had stopped smoking regular cigarettes. When evaluating do electronic cigarettes work, what researchers found was that switching to e-cigarettes helps people quit smoking by delivering actual doses of nicotine that smokers crave. According to researchers, as long as smokers are not inhaling the harmful toxins contain in tobacco, they are taking the step in the right direction to improve their health and life.

Electronic Cigarettes Work Because e-Cigarettes Simulate Smoking

When conducting research on do electronic cigarettes work, many researchers have confirmed is that e-cigarettes are effective at what they do because smokers feel like that they are still smoking. E-cigarettes are not only designed to look and feel like real cigarettes, but they also work like cigarette. Just like with a traditional cigarette, smokers must take puffs and inhale a smokeless smoke that contains the nicotine their body craves. Smokers who use e-cigarettes truly feel as though they are smoking even though they really aren’t.

According to researchers, smokers who use e-Cigarettes are at a real advantage because the device allows them to address all of the habit-forming consequences of smoking at the same time. Unlike using typical patches and other cessation tools, smokers who smoke e-cigarettes still feel like they are still smoking regular cigarettes because they have to hold and puff a cigarette. Not only do e-cigarettes help smokers address the psychological factors of smoking, e-cigarettes also helps people combat the physiological need for nicotine as well.

Electronic Cigarettes Are Available in a Wide-Variety of Flavors and Strengths

The popularity of electronic cigarettes has increased because e-cigarettes come in a wide-variety of different flavors and nicotine strengths. Smokers can choose from a real tobacco or menthol taste or something fruitier or even a taste that resembles their favorite beverage. People who stick with e-cigarettes choose electronic cigarettes over regular cigarettes do so because they like having a wide-variety of options to choose from, including how much nicotine is delivered with their e-cigarette. Having these options and the ability to make adjustments is what scientist believes makes e-cigarettes work for so many.

Quitting the Right Way

The Right Way to Quit

Although the United States has not mandated a federal smoking ban, 79.6% of the country has enacted a smoking ban in restaurants, bars and workplaces. Along with limited to no smoking in public areas, the medical community is continually releasing information regarding the serious health risks associated with lighting up.

Because of the health and social implications of smoking, electronic cigarettes are quickly becoming the preferred choice of nicotine delivery. But what are electronic cigarettes, or more importantly, do electronic cigarettes work?

Electronic Cigarette Information

Electronic cigarettes work by heating liquid nicotine to high temperatures to turn the nicotine into a vapor. Users then inhale the nicotine-rich vapor to satisfy cravings. While many smokers turn to electronic cigarettes as a smoking cessation device, a study performed by the Institute for Drug and Alcohol Studies found the use of e-cigarettes did not deliver ample amounts of nicotine into the bloodstream to act as a smoking cessation product. However, the United Health Organization has reported the nature of how electronic cigarettes work has raised the number of ex-smokers by nearly 300 percent.

Electronic Cigarette Ingredients

When contemplating how electronic cigarettes work, it is important consider the ingredients found in these products. Standard cigarettes contain over 500 various ingredients while common e-cigarettes contain 16 individual ingredients. Many who wonder how do e-cigarettes work should understand that the primary ingredients are less-harmful than traditional cigarettes; however, smoking in any form is not safe and although e-cigarettes may not contain the laundry list of compounds as standard smokes it is not a 100% safe alternative.

Healthier Option?

Although manufacturers and advertisers claim e-cigarettes are a healthier option when it comes to ingesting nicotine, a report published by the MSNBC found several chemicals known to promote cancer growth – one ingredient is even found in antifreeze. While there are significantly fewer cancer-causing compounds in e-cigarettes, it still remains a health risk.

Benefits:

Outside of saving cigarette users up to $1,000 per year, e-cigarettes offer several other benefits. The most notable benefits of e-cigarettes include no second hand smoke, zero fire hazards and no smoke smell on clothing or in cars. Perhaps one of the largest benefits of an e-cigarette is users can enjoy nicotine even in areas where smoking is prohibited.

Do Electronic Cigarettes Work?

Perhaps the main question consumers are asking themselves is do electronic cigarettes work? The answer to this question is relative to individual requirements. Does an e-cigarette help curb cravings? Yes. Can e-cigarettes replace standard smoking? Yes. Are e-cigarettes healthier? Perhaps; however, since the introduction of e-cigarettes into mainstream culture is fairly new, the true dangers and advantages of electronic cigarettes have not been fully realized as of yet.

The Non-Appeal of Smoking

Not Appealing

Smoking does not appeal to many people around the world because of its associated bad smell, burned clothes, yellow teeth and health risks. Government taxation makes smoking unaffordable to many and government regulation makes smoking impossible for others. Now, smoking makes a comeback in the form of electronic cigarettes.

The End of Second-Hand Smoke

These new devices eliminate smoke and tobacco from smoking, giving people a chance to enjoy the movements and the look of smoking without risking the health of others. Although users can fill e-cigs with pure flavor, most come with a flavored nicotine blend that helps give the feeling of smoking without any of the traditional drawbacks.

Enjoy E-Cigs Anywhere

As more people learn about the ability to smoke without tobacco or smoke, electronic cigarettes grow in popularity. The increased attention has caused many to ask, Do electronic cigarettes work? The answer to the question is “Yes, electronic cigarettes work!” Electronic cigarettes work by allowing users to relax with nicotine and a drink inside their favorite bar or restaurant. Because they inhale a mist that carries flavor and nicotine, they enjoy smoking. They no longer must worry themselves about “ashtray breath,” smelly clothes and the effects of their behavior on others.

Can E-Cigs Smokers Quit?

Of course, some people get more specific when they ask, Do electronic cigarettes work? Some people want to know if electronic cigarettes work as a device that helps people quit smoking. Although many smokers testify that their electronic cigarettes have set them free of traditional cigarettes, the government has not approved these new devices as a smoking cessation tool. Most people presume that electronic cigarettes work to help people quit smoking. After all, they get the nicotine they crave (only without all the harmful additives of traditional tobacco products) and they get the satisfaction of holding e-cigs in their fingers and puffing away while enjoying their favorite activity.

E-Cigs and Social Responsibility

Some people ask the question, Do electronic cigarettes work? from a critical perspective. They want to argue that electronic cigarettes send confusing signals to children and young adults. Onlookers may see people using e-cigs and become emboldened to try smoking tobacco. Although this seems like a stretch, the cost of electronic cigarettes remains out of reach for many people, leaving traditional smoking as their only alternative. No studies have validated such conjecture, however.

Government Intervention and E-Cigs

Do electronic cigarettes work for the government? The government seems hostile toward e-cigs, presumably because they do not use tobacco and do not fall under existing regulations or taxes. Although electronic cigarettes work to avoid paying tobacco taxes, efforts at the FDA now seek to declare e-cigs as drug delivery devices, making them fall under the purview of the Federal Government. Despite proposed new rules, taxes and other possible restrictions e-cigs will restore one of life’s pleasures for many years to come.

Do They Work? Short Answer, Yes

Do Electronic Cigarettes Work?

Electronic cigarettes are everywhere. You can find them in department stores, truck stops, your local 7-11. They’re used to quit smoking, but some people regard them as a political statement, even a fashion accessory. They’re supposed to be safer than the real thing. But do electronic cigarettes work?

How Do Electronic Cigarettes Work?

Designed by a Chinese pharmacist in 2003, the e-cigarette consists of a cartridge and an atomizer with a rechargeable battery. The cartridge is made to look like a typical filter and usually contains a nicotine solution. Many cartridges are adjustable so that you get the exact amount of nicotine you want. The atomizer has a wick which absorbs some of the nicotine solution, and a filament which heats up the solution, producing a vapor which the user inhales. This is why smoking electronic cigarettes is sometines called “vaping”.

Cartridges for electronic cigarettes come in a variety of flavors. They are available with different levels of nicotine, including none at all.

Do Electronic Cigarettes Work to Stop Smoking?

State and local governments have banned public smoking. Social pressure to quit is heavier than ever. These factors are pushing the e-cigarette to new heights of popularity among both smokers and those trying to quit.

Smokers who try electronic cigarettes often immediately switch to using them exclusively. Many of them believe that electronic cigarettes work to control cravings. They report feeling much better and getting cleaner bills of health from their doctors. Long-term studies can be done in the future as to whether these results are real or merely subjective. But can electronic cigarettes work to help you stop smoking entirely?

According to Dr. Thomas Eissenberg, users should not expect that electronic cigarettes work to deliver a small controlled amount of nicotine as with a patch or gum. Dr. Eissenberg had sixteen tobacco smokers try two different brands of e-cigarettes, then had them smoke regular cigarettes. He tested nicotine levels in their blood and heart rates before and after. When used according to directions, e-cigarettes delivered almost no nicotine. In fact, Eissenberg found that many people were dripping the solution in the cartridges directly onto the heating element to give themselves more nicotine. Because this makes the amount more difficult to control, you could be getting a potentially lethal dose.

Are E-Cigarettes Safe?

The chemicals in the solution also present a health concern. One major ingredient is propylene glycol, commonly found in cosmetic products but also known as a skin irritant. Few if any studies have been done on what it can do to your lungs if inhaled. The solution also contains small amounts of formaldehyde, a known toxin. Some users report eye and skin irritation, headaches and breathing problems. These may be caused by the chemicals in the solution or by other factors. Too little is known about e-cigarettes to say anything for certain, but the FDA will eventually have to create regulation for them.

The Smoing Cessation Aid That Works

Do Electronic Cigarettes Work for Smoking Cessation?

Smoking cigarettes is a very unhealthy habit that is also very addicting. The effects of smoking tobacco causes cancer, emphysema and other negative health effects. Smoking also causes birth defects for pregnant women, including premature birth and low birth weight. Plus, smoking cigarettes brings on negative social stigma, due to others not wanting to have health problems caused by secondhand smoke. Many cities and towns have even banned public smoking.

Unfortunately, quitting smoking is a very tough chore that will take a lot of willpower. Many people try to quit and end up failing. Smoking cessation devices like nicotine patches and gum have helped some smokers kick the habit, but most have found them to be ineffective. However, there is a new product on the market that can help smokers finally quit smoking: electronic cigarettes, also known as “e-cigarettes.”

Do They Work?

Smokers may be wondering, “Do electronic cigarettes work?” However, the question should be more about how electronic cigarettes work. These devices are shaped and designed to resemble traditional cigarettes, but use a lithium battery and a heating element to create a water vapor that contains nicotine. When electronic cigarettes are puffed, it simulates smoking a cigarette and delivers nicotine, but is much less harmful because there is no smoke being created. Even better, it does not smell, will not offend non-smokers and can be smoked in places where cigarettes have been banned. A small light on the end will light up when the e-cigarette is puffed, further emulating traditional smoking.

Electronic cigarettes work as both a smoking cessation device and a healthier way to continue smoking. Traditional cigarettes contain carcinogens and chemical additives, while the only chemical additive in electronic cigarette vapor is propylene glycol, which is the same chemical used to create the appearance of smoke by fog machines.

Skeptical?

Smokers who are still skeptically thinking “Do electronic cigarettes work?” should consider the amount of people who have successfully quit smoking using them. Because the juice for electronic cigarettes can be purchased in varying levels of nicotine, they can use the devices to wean themselves down from a nicotine addiction. This can not be done with regular cigarettes, as they have to be purchased in packs of 20 cigarettes, making it tough to ration cigarettes. With electronic cigarettes, you will not even realize that you are putting less nicotine your body.

Simulating the Oral Fixation

Electronic cigarettes work to quit smoking because it simulates an oral fixation. This is why smokers often fail quitting with patches or gum. Smokers who do not want to quit will also find that these devices emulate smoking so closely that they will not even be able to tell the difference. Within just a few puffs, smokers who ask “Do electronic cigarettes work?” will realize that they do work and provide a safer and cheaper alternative to smoking.

The New Smoking Cessation Solution

Electronic Solution

The electronic cigarette, or e-cigarette, is a relatively new invention that can help smokers quit smoking. This invention is changing the lives of many smokers all over the world today. The new e-cigarettes simulate the experience of actual smoking; however, they do not have any of the health concerns or legal issues that are often associated with real cigarettes. For those people, who may have asked themselves, “Do electronic cigarettes work?”, this article will help them see the many advantages of smoking these cigarette alternatives.

Look the Same, Operate Differently

Although electronic cigarettes look, taste and feel much like real cigarettes, they work much differently. E-cigarettes do not contain harmful tobacco. The way electronic cigarettes work is that when people inhale from them, it activates a flow sensor that instantly releases a water-based vapor containing propylene glycol, nicotine and a taste of tobacco. What this means, for those people who choose to smoke an e-cigarette, is that they get the nicotine they crave without getting the harmful cancer-causing agents in real cigarettes including glue, tar, hydrocarbons and various additives.

Not only are e-cigarettes much safer to smoke than real cigarettes, it is legal for people to smoke them virtually anywhere. Since these cigarette alternatives do not contain tobacco, smokers can smoke them in places that do not allow regular smoking such as bars, restaurants and even airplanes. Another terrific benefit of smoking electronic cigarettes is that they do not harm people due to second-hand smoke as do regular cigarettes.

Different Flavors

Electronic cigarettes come with many different refillable cartridges that come in a variety of flavors just like real cigarettes including some fruit flavors, and they come in varying strengths, as well. Although e-cigarettes are mainly sold as smoking alternatives, the range of nicotine strengths they provide prove valuable in helping people quit smoking.

The advantage that these cigarettes have over such cessation devices as nicotine patches, is that electronic cigarettes work by offering the smoker the same sensations and oral fixations that real cigarettes do. They also satisfy the smokers cravings for tobacco. When people inhale from an e-cigarette, their lungs fill with the tobacco like smoke; and when they exhale, the smoke releases just as it does with regular smoking. However, the smoke of e-cigarettes is much safer than the smoke of traditional cigarettes and will not harm the smoker or any other people in the vicinity of the smoker.

The Best Choice for Smoking Cessation

In conclusion, although electronic cigarettes have been on the market for some time, they have only grown in popularity in recent years. This has been mainly due to the increasing restrictions upon smoking in public places today. For those people, who may want a healthy alternative to traditional cigarettes, or for those who have asked themselves, “Do electronic cigarettes work?”, the e-cigarette is the perfect choice. E-cigarettes allow people the freedom to smoke wherever and whenever they may choose and satisfies their nicotine cravings, as well.

The Effectiveness of the Electronic Cigarette

We all know that guy–who has tried to quit smoking four or five times but has simply never been able to do it. He can’t stand the gum, needs something to do with his hands, can’t remember to put the patches on–he uses every excuse under the sun to avoid having to stop smoking. However, this is a more effective method now that could prevent any of those excuses from being effective. Electronic cigarettes are not only highly effective, it is easy to get into the habit of using them as a smoking cessation aid. You go through the same physical motions, the “mist” often has the same smell and taste as cigarette smoke, and electronic cigarettes are generally designed to look just like regular cigarettes.

Do electronic cigarettes work? That is the question that surrounds the industry. The answer is not only yes, but heck yes! So, why are electronic cigarettes so effective? Beyond the reasons listed above, electronic cigarettes do not attempt you to go cold turkey. They usually make use of nicotine, it simply comes in lower doses. Electronic cigarettes can also save you a great deal of money–one or two electronic cigarettes will last you longer than a truck full of cartons of smokes.

Electronic cigarettes can help an individual to stop smoking by feeding them lower amounts of nicotine and allowing them to remain within their comfortable physical habits of going outside and “smoking” the device. All of this is important, as it helps the smoker to feel more comfortable as he tries to replace his cigarettes and, eventually, quit.
